Michael Ignatieff visits Dalhousie campus on cross Canada tour

Halifax, NS‐The Leader of the Official Opposition, Michael Ignatieff (Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada and the Member of Parliament for Etobicoke‐Lakeshore) visited Dalhousie campus today on his cross Canada post‐secondary tour.

While addressing students, Mr. Ignatieff said “If we don’t get education right, nothing else matters.”

ANSSA - Tax credit won’t work

(Halifax) – Students in Nova Scotia are unimpressed with a provincial throne speech that promises a graduate retention tax credit that won’t actually help retain graduates. The throne speech also deceivingly claims that enrollment rates are higher per capita in Nova Scotia than the rest of Canada, while not admitting that this participation rate is inflated by imported students.
