ANSSA - Tax credit won’t work

(Halifax) – Students in Nova Scotia are unimpressed with a provincial throne speech that promises a graduate retention tax credit that won’t actually help retain graduates. The throne speech also deceivingly claims that enrollment rates are higher per capita in Nova Scotia than the rest of Canada, while not admitting that this participation rate is inflated by imported students.

Province writes off $2.4 million in student loan debt

Halifax, NS – Students aren’t surprised at the Nova Scotia Finance Department’s announcement that it has written off $2.4 million in student loan debt considered unpaid or uncollectible.
