U-Pass

The union that represents bus operators, ferry crews, fleet mechanics and other Metro Transit employees will be in a legal strike position on Thursday, February 2.

The Service Expo offers students one stop convenience to get their bus pass, student ID and find out
about valuable campus services. The Service Expo will be held in the Conference Hall, Loyola and is open
for new and returning students. Below is a list of the dates and the hours of operation for the 2011
Service Expo:
- The Service Expo will open on Wednesday, August 31 from 10am-4pm

On February 16th to 17th. SMUSA will be having a U-Pass referendum for students to vote on increasing the U-Pass to $141.

At the August 17th HRM Council meeting, it was determined that students at Metro Halifax institutions (SMU, Dal, MSVU, NSCC, King's, Daltech, NSCAD) would not see a hike in fees this coming academic year.
Here at SMU, SMUSA can only approve an increase in fees up to CPI, nothing beyond. In order to approve the hike, SMU students would have to vote in a referendum.
