On the 31st of October, 2010, Hurricane Tomas swept through the islands of Barbados, St Vincent and St Lucia. Out of these three islands, St Lucia sustained immense damage which urged the Government to declare a State of Emergency.

Saint Mary's Atlantic Centre is currently looking for volunteers for their mentoring program this summer. The program is designed to match a mature, caring and reliable student with another student who is living with a disability, to assist them in their participation in university life.
