U-Pass to stay at the same price for 2010/2011 academic year

At the August 17th HRM Council meeting, it was determined that students at Metro Halifax institutions (SMU, Dal, MSVU, NSCC, King's, Daltech, NSCAD) would not see a hike in fees this coming academic year.
Here at SMU, SMUSA can only approve an increase in fees up to CPI, nothing beyond. In order to approve the hike, SMU students would have to vote in a referendum.
In the new Policy Governance at SMUSA, students are to review all student fee additions by referendum once every four years. This gives every student a voice into how much money is collected from them and what their money is spent on.
